Physical Therapy

Whether you’re dealing with pain, recovering from orthopedic surgery, sidelined due to injury, or experiencing problems with balance, we can help. We are here to listen to your story. We don’t rush. Our aim is to empower you with an understanding of your condition, so you can take control of your health and wellbeing.

We start with a comprehensive evaluation at your home or office, one-on-one with a doctor of physical therapy, that includes a discussion of your medical, injury, and movement history and a complete movement assessment. Together, we’ll set goals to work towards and will also start treatment during this first visit.

Our evidence-based programs are custom-made for you. Your treatment may include movement practice, exercise, and hands-on manual therapy techniques. We’ll change your program as you progress, keeping it fresh and effective. We’ll tailor a plan specifically for you that fits into your life, and will get you back to moving well, feeling better, and doing the things you need and love to do. You’ll have a clear plan of action, with resources and support between visits to achieve your goals.

Movement Coaching

Are you feeling unsatisfied with your current exercise routine or movement practice? Need help setting up a plan after recovering from an injury? Maybe you want to improve performance in your sport, add cross-training, or just explore a different way of moving. We can build an individualized plan, focused on the goals that are meaningful to you.

Areas we can help with include behavior change and habit formation, strength, mindfulness, mobility, balance, greater ease with everyday movement, skill development, building greater body awareness, and making movement feel fun and joyful again.

Your initial movement coaching consultation includes a review of your movement and exercise history, a thorough movement assessment, collaborative goal setting, an individualized movement session, and development of your initial program. Our sessions draw on elements of Pilates, fitness and strength training, dance, mobility work, Feldenkrais, and yoga. What a session looks and feels like will depend on your interests, challenges, and goals.

Every session includes an integrated movement re-assessment and a review and update of your plan and program. You’ll have access to online resources and support between sessions. Our aim is to set you up with an ongoing movement practice that is meaningful, enjoyable, and supports lifelong wellbeing.

Home or Office Visits

We offer convenient in-person care in the privacy of your home or office. You won’t need to deal with transit time, parking, or sitting in a waiting room, and our services are highly tailored to fit your life where you live it.

Home or office visits are currently available for all services anywhere in the city of San Francisco.

Video Visits

We can also meet remotely via secure teleconferencing for your physical therapy or movement coaching session. This option allows you to meet with us if you live or are traveling in California outside of San Francisco, need to maintain physical distancing, or just want the convenience of an online visit.

Follow-up video visits for PT are currently only available for clients located in California. Note that initial PT evaluations are only available as a home or office visit in San Francisco.

Coaching by video visit or phone is available for clients located in any location.
